Ballbar VMC Test


This video shows the new Renishaw QC20-W in action on a Bridgeport VMC 1000 with Heidenhain TNC 370 controller.


This new ballbar allows for much quicker wire free volumetric testing to be carried out with the machine guards closed.


In this example the ballbar quickly helped to identify a problem with the Y axis saddle caused by a slideway oil lubrication failure which had it been left unchecked would have seriously damaged the machine tool.
